GRUNDIG PARTY BOY 202 LUXUS 60s TRANSISTOR RADIO

Here’s a very rare example of a portable transistor radio made by Grundig in the early 60s. The Party Boy Luxus 202 luxus has four wavebands LW, MW, SW & FM. The SW band covers 6-18MHz (49 – 25 metre) ideal for world radio.  The case is finished in dark blue black plastic in excellent condition with original handle that does have some wear as shown.. The top dial is clear with original control knobs and cream coloured push buttons.
The radio has been cleaned and serviced and is in fully working condition. The battery compartment is free from any corrosion and original aerial straight and clicks into position for vertical rotation. It runs on a PP9 battery. Size is compact, smaller than the later Party Boys but has the usual Grundig sound. Note this model has all germanium transistors with OC74/75 audio output.
