HACKER BLACK KNIGHT RP 74 TRANSISTOR RADIO

FrontThis is a very nice example of a classic Hacker portable transistor radio from the seventies. The radio has been cleaned and serviced and is in excellent fully working condition. Finished in black leatherette, the case has all grilles in place. The top dial is excellent retaining all original aluminium buttons and control knobs. Silk screen lettering has faded for the volume and tuning as is common on the later Hackers although the other dial lettering is clear and crisp.
Sound quality is superb with rich bass tone from the large oval speaker. Hacker are famed for their sound quality and this model has separate bass and treble controls along with DIN tape in/out so you could plug in an iPod to playback a rich ‘seventies’  sound.
The Black Knight receives VHF 88-101MHz FM via built in aerial and operates with eight D cells which last for ages or can be powered from an external 12v neg pin adapter. This is a large solid radio – size approx: 33cm wide, 23cm high, 11cm deep and weighs 3.4 Kg (even heavier with batteries).
Inside the battery compartment is clean with the 8-cell battery holder. The telescopic aerial is new.
