This project began with an eBay bargin but a little more than I bargined for! The radio had been in a house or kitchen rebuild covered in plaster dust and splatters. With a broken push button and dial due to poor packing of the mains adapter plonked on top it was in a sad state.
After some extensive tear down to clean and polish the case it began to look much better. With the label still in tack it looks almost new!
Can’t believe the transformation – compare serial numbers below. The adapter survived as well with radio and adapter both restored – needing a little effort and parts (dial, gold topped knobs):-
