Here’s a selection of electronic instruments manufactured by Nagard a UK based company in the sixties. The Nagard 300 series oscilloscopes boasted a 40MHz bandwidth and compared well with the US Tektronix 500 series. Data sheets cover the 301 wide band scope and the model 321 which supported plug-in dual channel Y deflection amplifiers for the dual beam 5 inch CRT.
If you are looking for a Nagard Oscilloscope please see end of post and comments for details…
The 5000 series pulse generators were widely used in laboratories providing a stable source of signals. These valve designs could achieve 10nS rise times and provide multiple pulse trains.
The complete data sheets are available for download:
Update May 2024
A reader has contacted Radio retro to say they have a Nagard OS 311 Oscilloscope in need of a good home – see image below. They have no idea of the condition (whether it would be good for a collector, or for parts only) but would need collection from North London.

The Pulse generator 5002c-s is a very interested instrument. I have been using this instrument
for many years now on vintage radars and H2S. Today it is not working and I wish
to have it on my work bench. The problem is that I do not have the schematic diagram.
If some one could help me to obtain a copy of the schematic, I would be very grateful and ready
to pay some fee for the circuit diagram.
It is very stable and very accurate pulse generator.
regards
Fortunato from Malta island.

Had a quick look but could not find a schematic for the 5002c. If it turns up I’ll be glad to scan and put a copy here.

Hi Paolo, no I don’t have the schematic see my reply above to Pino. Maybe you asked already? If not there are two Italian’s trying to trace Nagard pulse generator schematics! 5002s have featured on synthesiser music forums as sound sources. Would be interesting to know what you intend to use the 5002 for when you fix it.

Hi
Did you ever locate the schematic for Nagard 5002? I’ve collected one from a junk yard. Turns on but no pulses
Cheers

Hi Pino, no I’ve not found the service manuals for these Nagard pulse generators. I’ve looked through my late father’s data archive and only found brochures, which I’ve posted. The most likely faults are due to old electrolytic capacitors. From what I recall these were very well engineering inside and all components are easy to access. There are of course dangerously high voltages inside as you know so take care!
