EVER READY SKY LEADER TRANSISTOR RADIO
This is a very nice example of Ever Ready’s Sky series portable transistor radio. The radio has been cleaned and serviced with all original components and is in excellent working condition. The case is finished in tan that looks reddish brown in some light as shown in the photos. The original strap is included and the control knobs are complete with no cracks. Sound is very clear and sensitive picking up Dutch and French stations here in South England.
Receives MW & LW via built in aerial and operates with a 9v PP9 battery (not included – PP9 are widely available from eBay or Maplin). Size approx: 24cm wide, 20cm high, 8.5cm deep. I believe the model is the Sky Leader manufactured in late fifties, the serial number is ESD 106485.
Inside the name & address label is unmarked and instructions inform of battery type and replacement transistors from the OC44/5 range. Not the later AF117 that so often fail.

Hi.i have a ever ready sky leader.red/brownish.in really excellent condition.and works. Even orginal strap .love the set.well made.even thou first transister radio.produced.mine is a 1958 model.

I don’t have the Sky Leader circuit but you can download one from the Radio Museum https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/ever_sky_leader.html#data Hope you manage to repair it. The OC44/45 devices are more reliable than the AF117 series that followed so should be simple fix.
