Radio Retro Popular Posts
2024 has become the year of the air fryer judging from Radio Retro’s analytics. I wrote a post about the Instant Pot Vortex Plus Close Basket Fault back in April 2023 and it’s now the most frequently accessed page. The dreaded Close Basket warning message has affected many hundreds of users and there’s been a steady increase in numbers. In the last 6 months of 2024 Instant Brands customers accounted for over 40% of my traffic. A sorry tale for the company and one they have still yet to respond to. I won’t be recommending them any time soon!
In the kitchen, Neff microwave ovens have also been causing problems with the Neff Built-in Microwave Oven Faults post coming in a close second place. Neff or BSH Appliance Brands, which includes Bosch, Siemens and Gaggenau, have many disgruntled many customers judging from the feedback I receive.
For better or worse Pioneer also feature in my top ten post popular posts due to the blinking LED faults mentioned in Pioneer X-HM71-S Timer Light Flash Blink Fault and the Pioneer SX-850 Common Faults and Fixes. It’s interesting to see how Pioneer, a company that once took servicing seriously has become victim to the throwaway culture endemic in consumer electronics.
The humble portable alarm clock from Braun comes in at number four in popularity as users search for a way to fix the Dieter Ram’s design classic in Braun Alarm Clock AB30vs Repair
At number 5, in demand is Bang & Olufsen vintage audio with the Beomaster 3000-2, ever popular, since I first wrote B&O Beomaster 3000 Faults in 2011 and BANG & OLUFSEN BEOMASTER 3000-2 in 2013. Jacob Jensen’s design flair for Bang & Olufsen has featured in several posts here at Radio Retro and I can understand the appeal. It’s difficult to find consumer audio equipment that is so well engineered and still looks impressive 50 years later. Keeping vintage electronic devices running requires some effort as the pages of comments testify. Hopefully there’s some information you too can find useful if you decide to start collecting and restoring these beauties.

Visitors still use search along with direct links from social media to locate the information here at Radio Retro. I suspect it won’t be long before AI makes a dent in traffic as GPT and the other large language models suck up our content. I wrote a post Christmas Day at Radio Retro and AI back in 2022 that describes an early encounter using AI to help repair a radio. It was basic to be polite. But much is changing and I’ll be returning to review the latest capabilities in this area later this year. DeepSeek will feature.

Here’s Radio Retro’s top ten search queries for last year. No surprise, Instant air fryer steals nearly half the action.
It’s interesting to see one of my favourite loudspeaker manufacturers, Rogers, still commanding nearly as much attention as Neff with their amazing sounding Rogers Studio 1 Speakers
Bang & Olufsen make up the remainder of the top ten reasons to search our pages with the Beosystem 10 Repair and Review and B&O Beomaster 3000 Faults ever popular.
