Grundig City Boy Transistor Radio

Here’s a rare example of a mains / battery transistor radio made by Grundig in the 70s. The City Boy 1100 has four wavebands LW, MW, SW & FM. The SW band covers 6-18MHz ideal for world radio.
The radio has been cleaned, restored and serviced and is in fully working condition. The battery compartment is free from any corrosion and original aerial straight and clicks freely into position for full rotation. It’s fitted with a plug for mains operation or can run on a PP9 battery (not included but available from Wilkinsons or Maplins). Size is quite large so has the usual rich Grundig sound.
And this is how it arrived. The On/Off push button had melted and the surrounding panel worn. The case dirty and the aerial tip missing:-
