Here’s a good working example of a classic mains / battery transistor radio made by Grundig in the 1970s. The Concert Boy 1100 has four wavebands Long , Medium and Short along with full range FM. The SW band covers 6-18MHz ideal for world radio pulling in many foreign stations. The Concert Boy has a rich base tone with separate bass and treble controls.
The radio has been cleaned and serviced and is in working condition but as the telescopic aerial and a chrome plate on the handle is missing it is sold as spares / repair. Please see photo details to judge condition for yourself. The battery compartment is free from corrosion and takes 6 D cell batteries (not supplied). It’s fitted with a plug for mains operation with a switch on the rear. Size is quite large and fairly heavy hence postage only to UK mainland.
